By the time we mention him, you must know Jérôme Josserand. The guy that spends his life riding the Upper Alpes backcountry together with Guillaume Chastagnol. Jérôme often has a camera on his helmet and shares with us the best sessions. Excellent sessions that make us feel like sending a bad pack but well…. The last movie is called Just énorme and the name is just what it should be. Ok… there is a trick somwhere since GC walks up 200 metres in snowkite and goes down during… 2 hours….. We’ll figure we saw nothing. The off tracks way down is incredibly terrific. Not because GC jumps 10 metres bars but because it is a simple, fabulous, beautiful out of the tracks. Thanks GC. Speedrider : dead or alive |

Coincidence: last week, two people wrote about the same topic in our forum: speed riding. One gave a forum upon the subject: www.speedrider.fr (something interesting we’ll speak in the future with more details) and the other related the disparition of a famous swiss speedrider. If you missed the beginning of speedriding, speedriding consists in a mix of ski and a small kite from the paragliding family with a very short length of ropes. This is made to go down the snowy lopes and other corridors at Mach 2. On a Richter scale of the feelings, speedriding may be somewhere close to the jet in a close combat. Hot hot hot. Speedriding was not born yesterday but it’s been short time since we read and see it in the medias. The practice is fabulous but the sport is extreme. Extreme at squarre shall we say. Puctures are bluffing and immediatly gives a feel to practice even if the majority understands quickly that they do not have necessarily the « size ». The true risk today is the "democratisation" of this type of discipline. Une indication : schools. Speedriding is fabulous but a video as simple as this one is enough to show this is not a tourist game. The speedrider forum will give a chance to exchange more info and remind you do not become a speedrider from one up to the next one. Have a good week...

F.One Revolt |

F.One launches the Revolt. A new 4 lines’ kite to learn, improve. It is a Delta C-Shape, 4 lines and the brand affectionates the EVO sheath. F.One revendicates a « progressive » traction, a nice bar feel, a wide range an, naturally, a power that comes down in case of release. A big work was done for relaunching with the Auto-Relaunch. The Revolt exists in 3-4-5-7-9 11 and 13. It’ll be available end of March.

It is time to draw conclusions concerning the last survey and the crossing of the 50 knots’ barrier. After the recent scores of Alex Caizergues, Seb Cattelan or Manu Taub, the topic was…. tricky. The question was to guess who you’d see as the future candidate capable to breake through the 50 knots ? 52% of you did agree on a kiteboarder 14% bent for a windsurfer 12% think it should be a boat 22%, which is non neglectable don’t care. What shall we conclude from the 1256 voting people’s opinion? First that kiteboarders do trust kiteboarders. OK. This is true for now, balance is in our favour. 14% may have seen Antoine Albeau... 12% are sailors and may not be totally wrong, in april, the Hydroptère could give them reason. The remaining 22% probably prefer the wave riding, freestyle, cruising or trust cars for the pure speed, this is the secret garden of each of us… the richness of kitesurfing. Thanks to all of you....
